Our code of conduct
We are committed to strong ethical practices, with integrity, in our work as well as in all aspects of our role in society. We recognise the impact our work has and the importance of good inclusive practices not just within our own business activities but also from the influence we have on people we work with on the projects and contracts we manage.
We participate with our community in an inclusive and responsible way through the persons we employ, how we select and work with our partners, the work we do on behalf of our clients, and supporting other community initiatives. Our commitment (our code of conduct) can be further summarised as follows:
Social benefit suppliers:
We actively seek goods and services from social benefit organisations that are verified or registered, such as through the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB). This includes not-for-profits, disability enterprises, Indigenous-owned businesses, and other social enterprises.
Diversity, gender equality, and human rights:
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and we fully support improving transparency and accountability in our work. We also recognise the importance of observing and upholding modern slavery obligations and strongly believe in the power of everyone, regardless of cultural background, sexual orientation, gender, age or any other characteristic.
Sustainability practices & local economy:
We are committed to the responsible use of resources and reducing the environmental impact of our business activities as well as due to the activities we influence through our work. This includes energy efficiency, using renewable energy, efficient use of water, reducing waste, recycling, transitioning to a circular economy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and engaging with local businesses to support Australian jobs and the economy.
Governance:
our senior leadership team, shareholders, and Advisory Board are all committed to awareness and fulfillment of our code of conduct through incorporating it within all our work and performing periodic reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Confidentiality, fraud & corruption control:
We strive to represent our clients in an independent capacity which we believe helps to minimise undue access to confidential information and conflicts of interest. We are aware of, and actively manage, cyber security risks – within both client systems as well as our own. We encourage our staff to report concerns anonymously, discuss and implement agreed management plans with our clients, and incorporate client non-disclosure agreements in our work wherever available.
